Our story

From a life-saving act of kindness to a lifetime of service

The story behind Bharat Rising Foundation, in the words of our Chairman.

Sometimes, the most meaningful journeys in life begin during our most difficult moments.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when my family was battling a critical situation, we received life-saving support from Sri Kollepara Ramesh Garu and Kellanova. At a time when we needed hope, strength, and someone to stand beside us, their support made a difference that my family and I will never forget.

That experience changed my perspective on life forever. I realized that kindness is not just about helping someone in need. It is about giving someone hope when they feel helpless, standing beside a family during a crisis, and reminding people that they are not alone in their struggles.

I made a promise to myself that if life gave me another opportunity to move forward, I would dedicate a part of my life to helping others, just as we had been helped.

“From that day onward, I committed 30% of my salary to social service activities.”

What began as a personal commitment gradually became a journey shared by many wonderful people. Several of my Kellanova colleagues and dear friends joined hands with me, proving that when one person takes a step towards kindness, many more hearts can follow.

That is how the dream of Bharat Rising Foundation grew: from gratitude, compassion, and a promise to give back to society.

Today, through our Foundation, we strive to support children through education, empower rural women and farmers, encourage organic farming, promote sports among young people, plant trees, and extend a helping hand to people who need support.

We may not be able to solve every problem in society, but I believe we can make a meaningful difference in someone's life, one act of kindness at a time.

Whenever I see a child smile, a young cricketer gain confidence, a farmer discover a new opportunity, or a family receive support during a difficult time, I am reminded of the people who once stood beside my family.

Sri Kollepara Ramesh Garu and Kellanova will always remain an important part of my journey because they helped me understand the true meaning of support, compassion, and community.

I am equally grateful to every colleague, friend, donor, volunteer, and well-wisher who has walked alongside me. Bharat Rising Foundation is not just my dream anymore; it is a collective effort built on the kindness and commitment of many hearts.

My dream is simple: to create a society where no person feels alone in difficult times, where every child gets a chance to dream, where every young person gets an opportunity to grow, and where helping others becomes a way of life.

This is my story.

This is my promise.

This is Bharat Rising Foundation.

Meet the inspiring force behind our mission

Rongala Gopi Srinivas Garu

Every meaningful journey needs people who believe in the vision, encourage others to move forward, and remind us that when we work together, we can achieve far more than we ever could alone. For our team, Gopi Garu has been one of those guiding forces.

Our journey began with different people contributing in different ways to the betterment of society.

Our dear friends Jai Kishan and Chaitanya have been supporting cricket and sponsoring tournaments under different names to encourage young talent and bring youngsters together through sports. Similarly, Nagarjun Garu and Annapurneswari Garu have been extending their support towards women empowerment and helping us work towards a more inclusive and supportive society.

Each person had a vision, each contribution had a purpose, and every effort mattered. But Gopi Garu encouraged us to look beyond our individual activities and bring all our efforts together.

His suggestion was simple but powerful:

“Let us work together as one team so that we can create a greater impact in society.”

That thought helped us understand that our strength does not lie only in what each of us can do individually, but in what we can accomplish when we stand united.

The power of teamwork and guidance

Under Gopi Garu’s guidance and encouragement, we strengthened our collective efforts to address challenges affecting our villages, particularly the concerns surrounding ganja and cheap liquor. We came together as concerned citizens and raised our voices peacefully, calling for action against substance abuse and the sale of harmful and illegal substances in our communities.

Our intention was not simply to oppose a problem. It was to protect our youth, encourage healthier choices, and help create an environment where young people could pursue their dreams instead of losing hope to harmful habits.

We believe our youth deserve opportunities, guidance, sports, education, and the support of a caring community.

A village becomes stronger when its people stop asking, “Who will solve this problem?” and start asking, “What can we do together?”

That is the spirit of teamwork Gopi Garu has encouraged among us.

Building Bharat Rising Foundation together

At Bharat Rising Foundation, we believe social service should never be about one individual receiving recognition. It should be about a team working with a shared heart and a common purpose.

Some members encourage youth through cricket. Some support women empowerment. Some work towards environmental protection, farmer welfare, education, and community development.

Every contribution is valuable, and every person who comes forward strengthens our mission.

Gopi Garu has helped us appreciate the importance of bringing these efforts together so that our collective work can reach more people and create meaningful change.

A heartfelt thank you to Gopi Garu

Dear Rongala Gopi Srinivas Garu, thank you for inspiring our team, encouraging collaboration, and reminding us of the importance of working together.

Your guidance has helped us recognize that a stronger society is built not merely by individual acts of kindness, but by people joining hands, sharing responsibilities, and standing together for what matters. We are grateful to have you as one of the key members of Bharat Rising Foundation. May we continue to learn from one another, support one another, and work together to build a brighter future for our communities.

Because one person can start a change, but a united team can take that change much further.

Let us continue standing together for our youth, supporting our women, encouraging our farmers, protecting our environment, and serving the people who need us most.

With respect, gratitude, and affection,

Bharat Rising Foundation

Meet the heart behind our mission

Chelluboina Suryanarayana Murthy Garu

There are certain people who change the way we look at life. Their service teaches us that the true purpose of our existence is not just to live for ourselves, but to become a source of hope and happiness for others. Suryanarayana Murthy Garu is one of the people who inspired me deeply and strengthened my belief in serving society.

The COVID-19 pandemic: a time that taught us the value of humanity

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when many families faced uncertainty, financial difficulties, and shortages of essential supplies, I witnessed the importance of standing beside people in need.

Inspired by the spirit of service shown by Suryanarayana Murthy Garu, we came forward to distribute ration supplies and vegetables to families in our community. Those efforts taught me a beautiful lesson: sometimes, a bag of groceries, a few vegetables, or a helping hand can bring enormous relief to a family struggling to get through the day.

It was not just about distributing essential supplies. It was about reminding people that they were not alone.

His service goes beyond a single moment

His commitment to society is reflected in the many initiatives he has undertaken to support people from different walks of life.

Encouraging young talent: He provided football coaching for schoolchildren during their summer holidays, giving children an opportunity to learn sports, develop discipline, build confidence, and use their time productively.

Supporting poor women: He extended pension support to women in need, helping them face life’s challenges with greater dignity and confidence.

Empowering girl students: By providing scholarships to underprivileged schoolgirls, he helped encourage education and create opportunities for a brighter future.

Sharing happiness during festivals: Through free food distribution during festivals, he helped make special occasions more joyful for people who might otherwise struggle to celebrate.

Caring for women’s health: By organizing health camps for women on Women’s Day, he helped bring attention to the importance of healthcare, awareness, and well-being.

Each of these initiatives reflects an important belief: service should reach people where they need it most, whether that need is food, education, health, dignity, or an opportunity to grow.

How he inspired my journey

Suryanarayana Murthy Garu’s contributions helped me understand that social service is not something we should do only when it is convenient. It is a responsibility we carry towards our fellow human beings.

His example encouraged me to think beyond individual acts of charity and imagine how we could build a community where people support one another consistently.

That spirit of compassion is an important part of what we are striving to build through Bharat Rising Foundation.

For me, the success of a foundation cannot be measured only by the number of programs it conducts or the resources it distributes. Its true success lies in the number of lives it touches, the dignity it protects, the dreams it encourages, and the hope it brings to people who need it.

A heartfelt thank you

Dear Suryanarayana Murthy Garu, thank you for being an inspiration through your service, your commitment to the community, and your concern for people who need support.

Your journey reminds us that we do not have to wait for extraordinary circumstances to do something meaningful. Every day gives us an opportunity to feed someone, educate a child, support a woman, encourage a young sportsperson, or bring a smile to a family.

I feel proud and grateful to have you as one of the key members of Bharat Rising Foundation. May your spirit of service continue to inspire more people to come forward and become part of this mission.

Because a true leader is not someone who stands above people, but someone who stands beside them when they need support the most.

Let us continue working together to build a society where compassion is our strength, service is our responsibility, and humanity is our greatest identity.

With immense respect, gratitude, and affection,

Bharat Rising Foundation

Meet one of the strongest pillars of Bharat Rising Foundation

Singamsetty Indira Priyadarsini Garu

Today, we are proud to recognize Singamsetty Indira Priyadarsini Garu, a dedicated legal advocate who has joined our Trust to extend a helping hand to people who need legal support but may not have the resources to access it.

Justice should not be a privilege. It should be accessible to everyone.

As a legal advocate, Indira Priyadarsini Garu works with a team of junior lawyers who are committed to helping people from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Through her association with Bharat Rising Foundation, she is helping us strengthen our efforts to connect people in need with legal guidance and support.

For a poor family facing a legal problem, the situation can be frightening. They may not know where to go, whom to approach, or how to protect their rights. Sometimes, all they need is someone who listens, guides them in the right direction, and helps them understand their options.

That is where our legal services team hopes to make a meaningful difference.

Building teams. Creating hope. Serving humanity.

At Bharat Rising Foundation, we understand that serving society requires more than one person or one initiative. Every problem needs the right kind of support.

That is why we are building dedicated teams to help people facing different challenges in life. Our work includes supporting education, empowering women, encouraging farmers, promoting sports, helping people in medical emergencies, and now strengthening our legal services team to assist those who need legal help.

Each team has a purpose. Each volunteer brings a strength. And every person who joins us helps extend our reach to someone who might otherwise be left without support.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Singamsetty Indira Priyadarsini Garu for becoming an important part of this mission. Her willingness to bring her legal knowledge, experience, and team towards community service reflects the spirit we want Bharat Rising Foundation to represent.

We may not be able to solve every problem in the world, but we can make sure that someone facing a difficult situation does not have to face it alone.

Because service is not just about giving money. It is about giving time, sharing knowledge, standing beside the vulnerable, and helping people find a way forward.

Bharat Rising Foundation

You are not alone. We are here with you.

Empowering people. Supporting rights. Serving humanity.

Meet our mentor

Gunturu Seethapallavi Garu

Supporting children with care and compassion

Her financial assistance has helped our Foundation provide healthy and nutritious food to specially abled children in our villages. For these children, every act of care matters, and her contribution has helped us extend our support to those who deserve love, attention, and encouragement.

Encouraging creativity and learning

Seethapallavi Garu has also actively participated in the CSR activities conducted at our company. Beyond her own participation, she has encouraged fellow employees to join these initiatives and contribute their time, skills, and resources to society.

Through activities such as painting and drawing training for students, along with the distribution of healthy snacks, she has helped create opportunities for children to learn, explore their creativity, and enjoy meaningful experiences.

Inspiring others to serve society

Her involvement reminds us that social responsibility is not just about making financial contributions; it is also about inspiring others to participate, share what they can, and work together for a better society.

We at Bharat Rising Foundation are deeply grateful for her support, encouragement, and commitment to our mission. Her contribution strengthens our efforts to reach more children, support vulnerable communities, and create positive change at the grassroots level.

Together, we can make a difference!

Every child deserves nourishment, every student deserves an opportunity to learn, and every community deserves a chance to grow.

With the continued support of people like Gunturu Seethapallavi Garu and our well-wishers, we will keep moving forward with our mission of service.

Bharat Rising Foundation

Meet our mentor

Krishna Chaitanya Garu

A mentor who helps young people dream bigger

Krishna Chaitanya Garu is a knowledgeable mentor and educator who guides aspirants preparing for UPSC and APPSC civil service examinations. His passion for sharing knowledge and guiding young minds is truly inspiring.

The young people who join us on the cricket ground are not just playing a sport; they are building friendships, learning discipline, and discovering their potential. Through his guidance, Krishna Chaitanya Garu motivates our cricket team members to think beyond the boundary lines, set meaningful goals, and work towards a brighter future.

We are proud that he has joined Bharat Rising Foundation and is sharing his knowledge, experience, and encouragement with our team.

From empowering youth to transforming farmers’ lives

His contribution goes beyond education and sports. Krishna Chaitanya Garu is also supporting our efforts to encourage farmers to grow organic produce and explore opportunities to reach international markets.

Recently, he facilitated the shipment of 300 tonnes of organic turmeric to the Netherlands. This achievement inspires us to believe that the hard work of Indian farmers can reach markets across the world when the right opportunities and connections are created.

A new hope for our tribal farmers

Inspired by this vision, Bharat Rising Foundation has reached out to tribal farming communities who are cultivating crops without relying on chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

Our goal is to help these farmers explore better market opportunities for their produce, including organic coffee, cassava powder, ginger, turmeric, and tamarind.

For tribal farmers, growing a crop is only one part of the struggle. Finding the right buyer, receiving a fair price, and reaching larger markets can be equally challenging.

Our dream is to help bridge that gap.

We have initiated discussions with the Agriculture, Horticulture, and ICAR departments to understand how we can support farmers, strengthen market connections, and reduce their dependence on middlemen.

We want farmers to receive fair value for their hard work and ensure that the benefits of their efforts reach their families and communities.

Building a better future, together

At Bharat Rising Foundation, we believe that true development happens when education, sports, agriculture, and community service work together.

Krishna Chaitanya Garu brings these worlds together through his knowledge, mentorship, and vision. His journey inspires our youth to dream, our farmers to explore new possibilities, and our team to think bigger about what community service can achieve.

Thank you, Krishna Chaitanya Garu, for standing with Bharat Rising Foundation and helping us turn our vision into meaningful action.

We may begin with a cricket tournament, a conversation with a farmer, or a small community initiative. But with the right guidance and collective effort, these small beginnings can open doors to life-changing opportunities.

Our dream is simple: educated youth, empowered farmers, stronger villages, and a society where nobody is left behind.

Bharat Rising Foundation

Empowering youth. Supporting farmers. Transforming lives.

You are not alone. We are here with you.

    Polavarapu Chaitanya

People often ask me, “Chaitanya, why are you so passionate about cricket? Why do you spend so much time and effort organizing cricket tournaments?” Today, I want to share the answer that comes straight from my heart.

Meet the woman behind a thousand dreams

Nadisetty Annapurneswari

She joined our Foundation with a noble mission: to uplift poor women, empower them with practical skills, and help them become financially independent.

Her commitment to this cause goes far beyond words. She has dedicated a major part of her life to training women and helping them discover their own strength.

A skilled trainer who has transformed lives

With her expertise in tailoring, dressmaking, uniform stitching, hand and machine embroidery, and fabric painting, Annapurneswari Garu has trained more than 10,000 women in tailoring skills.

Her service is especially remarkable because she has reached out to women who often face the greatest challenges in life, including widows, women without family support, women prisoners in Central Jail, and women from the poorest sections of society.

She did more than teach them a skill. She gave them confidence, hope, dignity, and a path towards earning their own income. She helped women who had very limited support see that they, too, could stand on their own feet and build a better future.

Turning skills into sustainable livelihoods

Inspired by her remarkable work, Bharat Rising Foundation is taking another step towards women’s empowerment by providing sewing machines to deserving women who need support to begin their tailoring work.

We have purchased and provided our first sewing machine, and we are determined to provide more in the coming days. With the support of our friends and well-wishers who believe in our mission, we hope to help more women turn their skills into sustainable livelihoods.

Every sewing machine we provide is more than a piece of equipment. It is an opportunity to earn, a step towards independence, and a chance for a woman to support herself and her family with dignity.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Nadisetty Annapurneswari Garu for her dedication, compassion, and invaluable contribution to society. Her journey reminds us that true empowerment begins when we give people the skills and opportunities to shape their own futures.

At Bharat Rising Foundation, we believe that when a woman becomes financially independent, she strengthens not only herself but also her entire family and community.

Our mission: Empower women. Create livelihoods. Build independent futures.

Together, with the support of our friends and well-wishers, let us continue creating opportunities for women who deserve a chance to rise.

Bharat Rising Foundation

P Chandra Paul

Education: building a brighter future

Every month, we contribute towards the education of two girl students through a UNICEF-related programme, helping support their educational journey and aspirations. We believe that every girl deserves the opportunity to learn, grow, and build a better future.

Standing beside people in their most difficult moments

Our service does not stop with education. Sometimes, a family struggles to afford medical treatment for a loved one. Sometimes, a grieving family cannot even afford the burial expenses of someone they have lost.

In such heartbreaking situations, even a small contribution can bring comfort and dignity to a family facing unimaginable hardship.

Chandra Paul Garu helps us coordinate our efforts so that, within the funds available, we can respond to these urgent needs and extend a helping hand to those who have nowhere else to turn.

A treasurer who helps turn contributions into compassion

For us, managing funds is not merely about numbers. It is about understanding people’s struggles, planning responsibly, respecting every donor’s trust, and ensuring that available resources reach those who need them.

Every contribution matters. Every donor matters. And every person we help reminds us why we started this journey.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Chandra Paul Garu for being a dependable pillar of Bharat Rising Foundation and for helping us continue our mission of serving humanity with compassion and responsibility.

Meet the inspiring force of service

Jai Kishan Singhania

Promoting cricket and empowering youth

Jai Kishan Garu has played an important role in conducting several leather-ball cricket tournaments, creating opportunities for talented players to showcase their skills and encouraging youngsters to pursue their passion for sports.

Supporting girls in cricket

His support goes beyond organizing tournaments. By sponsoring cricket kits for talented girls, he is helping them chase their dreams, build confidence, and move towards a brighter future. His encouragement sends a powerful message that talent has no gender and every aspiring player deserves an opportunity.

Serving humanity with compassion

His participation in food donation programs reflects his caring heart and commitment to serving people in need. A meal offered with kindness can bring comfort, dignity, and hope to someone facing difficult times.

A true spirit of social responsibility

At Bharat Rising Foundation, we believe that real success is not measured only by what we achieve for ourselves, but also by how many lives we touch along the way. Jai Kishan Garu represents this spirit through his support for sports, girls’ empowerment, and community welfare.

Our heartfelt gratitude to Jai Kishan Garu!

Your support inspires young cricketers, encourages girls to dream fearlessly, and reminds us that even small acts of kindness can create a lasting impact.

“A true champion is not just someone who wins on the field, but someone who helps others rise in life.”

Together, let us continue building a society where every child gets an opportunity, every girl gets encouragement, and every person in need receives compassion.

With respect and gratitude,

Bharat Rising Foundation

Meet the heart behind our mission

Patnala Nagarjun

Born in Vijayawada and settled in Rajahmundry since 2001, Nagarjun Garu has carried the values he learned through RSS and NCC. These values remind us that serving society is not just a responsibility, but a privilege.

During the difficult days of COVID-19, he met Chaitanya, his college mate and fellow NCC alumnus. At a time when the world was facing uncertainty and countless families were struggling, a shared vision brought them together: to stand beside those who need support and bring hope into their lives.

That shared dream became the foundation of our journey with Bharat Rising Foundation. With the guidance of our respected seniors and the support of our trustees, friends, and families, we began working towards the welfare of underprivileged children and women.

What makes this journey special is not just the initiatives we undertake, but the belief that even a small act of kindness can make a lasting difference in someone’s life. Every child who gets an opportunity, every woman who gains confidence, and every family that receives support reminds us why we started.

Dear Nagarjun Garu, your friendship, shared vision, and commitment to social service are valuable parts of this journey. The road to meaningful change may not always be easy, but when good-hearted people come together with a common purpose, even small steps can create a beautiful impact.

Our motto will always remain simple:

Give back to society.

Stand beside those in need.

Work together to create a better tomorrow.

May our bond grow stronger, our service reach more people, and our efforts bring smiles to countless families. Let us continue this journey with humility, compassion, and unwavering dedication.

Because true success is not measured only by what we achieve for ourselves, but by the lives we touch and the hope we leave behind.

With heartfelt respect and gratitude,

Bharat Rising Foundation

Why cricket is so close to my heart

Polavarapu Chaitanya

For me, cricket is not just a game. It is a reason for friends to come together, and a powerful way to bring positive change into society.

You don’t need an expensive stadium, professional equipment, or a lot of money to play. A bat, a tennis ball, an open ground, and a group of enthusiastic youngsters are enough to create happiness, friendships, and unforgettable memories. On a cricket ground, nobody asks how rich you are, what your background is, or where you come from.

What matters is your passion, your teamwork, and your willingness to stand beside your teammates. Cricket brings people together in a way that few things can.

But my connection with cricket became much deeper after COVID-19.

The pain that made us take action

After the pandemic, our village faced a serious challenge. Many young people were struggling with unemployment, disappointment, isolation, and uncertainty about their futures.

Some began turning towards cheap liquor and ganja, putting their health, their families, and their dreams at risk.

As someone who deeply cares about our village and its youth, I could not simply stand by and watch.

Every young person has dreams. Every young person has potential. Every young person deserves an opportunity to build a better future.

It was painful to see that some of our youngsters, who could have been building their careers, supporting their families, and achieving great things, were losing hope and moving towards harmful habits.

I kept asking myself one question:

“Can we do something to bring our young people back to a healthier, happier, and more meaningful life?”

That question became the beginning of a new journey.

From protest to purpose

Together with concerned citizens, we organized a peaceful protest to raise our voices against the sale of liquor and illegal substances in our hometown. We wanted our village to become a safer place for our children and a better environment for our youth.

But we also understood something important.

Simply telling young people what not to do is not enough. We must give them something positive to look forward to. We must create opportunities, build friendships, offer guidance, and help them rediscover their confidence.

We realized that our youth needed not just warnings, but opportunities. Not just advice, but encouragement. Not just criticism, but someone who believed in them.

That is when I began looking at cricket as more than a sport. I saw it as a bridge that could connect young people with a better future.

A cricket bat can be more than a bat. It can become a symbol of hope.

We started organizing cricket tournaments in and around our city to attract young people towards sports and healthy activities.

Our intention was simple: bring youngsters onto the ground, help them build friendships, encourage discipline and teamwork, and create an environment where they could spend their time productively.

Through counselling, mentorship, and community engagement, we began witnessing encouraging changes. Several young people started turning their lives around and participating more actively in sports and community events rather than engaging in substance abuse.

Every time I see youngsters playing together, encouraging one another, celebrating a teammate’s success, or discovering their own abilities, I feel that our efforts are worthwhile.

For me, the greatest victory is not when a team lifts a trophy. The greatest victory is when a young person begins to believe in himself again.

From a shared dream to Bharat Rising Foundation

As more young people joined our efforts, we realized that we could do much more if we worked together.

With the support and participation of our youth, we started Bharat Rising Foundation. What began with a desire to bring positive change to our community has grown into a collective mission to serve society.

Today, our vision extends beyond cricket. We want to support education, empower rural women and farmers, encourage organic farming, protect our environment, plant trees, and help people facing difficult circumstances. Cricket opened the door for us to connect with our youth. That connection inspired us to dream bigger and work towards a better society.

And our journey is still continuing.

A personal promise

My dream is not simply to organize bigger tournaments or distribute more trophies. My dream is to build a community where young people have opportunities, where families have hope, where sports create unity, and where every individual understands the power of giving back.

I know we cannot solve every problem overnight. But I believe that if we can positively influence even one young person’s life, our efforts have meaning. If that one person inspires another, the change can continue to grow.

That is why I love cricket.

That is why I continue to work for our youth.

And that is why Bharat Rising Foundation means so much to me.

Weekend farming

From city life to Mother Nature

Why our Chairman spends his weekends on a farm, in his own words.

People often ask me, “Chaitanya, you have a full-time job, so why do you spend your weekends working on a farm? Why invest your time, energy, and money in agriculture when you could simply relax?”

This journey is not just about growing fruits and vegetables. It is about my health, my learning, my love for nature, and my dream of helping our farmers build a greener and healthier future.

I don’t come from a farming family. But my desire to live a healthier life introduced me to the beautiful world of farming. I wanted to eat healthy food, understand where our food comes from, and reconnect with nature. That simple thought gradually became a dream. With the support of my friends, I took 2.5 acres of agricultural land and began my weekend farming journey.

I may have started as a beginner, but the land became my teacher, nature became my guide, and every weekend became an opportunity to learn something new.

My first year: a lesson that changed my thinking

During my first year, I cultivated papaya using chemical fertilizers and pesticides. At that time, I was still learning about agriculture and the different ways of growing crops.

As I continued my journey, I began understanding the importance of soil health, biodiversity, natural farming practices, and the long-term relationship between farmers and the land they cultivate. I started questioning myself:

“If I began farming to grow healthy food, shouldn’t I also learn how to care for the soil that gives us that food?”

That question changed my direction. I decided to move away from chemical-based farming practices and explore natural and organic methods. I removed the papaya plants and redesigned my farm with a new vision.

Today, my farm has more than 30 varieties of fruit plants, and I have divided the land into different sections for vegetables, fruit cultivation, cows, and chickens. What began as a small personal experiment has become a continuous journey of learning, patience, and responsibility towards nature.

I am still learning, still experimenting, and still discovering how much wisdom nature holds. My farm is not just a piece of agricultural land. It is my classroom, my place of peace, and my commitment to a healthier way of living.

My dream is bigger than my own farm

As I learned more about natural farming, I realized something important: the knowledge and opportunities I was receiving should not remain limited to my own land.

Our farmers work incredibly hard to feed society. Yet many face challenges related to farming costs, changing agricultural practices, technology, and access to practical knowledge.

I began feeling that if my small farming journey could teach me something useful, it might also help another farmer. That thought became the foundation of my efforts to encourage farmers in nearby villages.

Weekend farming

How we support farmers

Through our farm and Bharat Rising Foundation, we share practical knowledge and encourage sustainable agricultural practices.

  • Foundation members with farmers on the farm
  • Holding a newborn calf at the farm
  • Drip irrigation material laid out on the farm
  • Foundation members at a meeting with an agriculture expert
Weekend training sessions01

Encouraging organic and natural farming

We plan weekend training sessions in nearby villages to share practical knowledge about natural farming, and to show how organic inputs can improve soil health and support sustainable agriculture.

Bio fertilizers we promote
  • Farmyard manure (FYM)

Well-decomposed dung and urine from cows, goats and poultry feed the soil and its microorganisms.

  • Vermicompost

Manure made with the help of earthworms. It improves fertility, root growth and microbial activity.

  • Compost

Kitchen waste, dry leaves and crop residue turned into compost that improves soil structure and holds moisture.

Our goal: help local farmers make vermicompost and sell it in nearby cities. Small farmers earn extra income, and larger farmers get quality organic manure. A win-win for everyone.

Natural pest management

Wherever suitable, we encourage biopesticides and traditional natural practices as alternatives to synthetic chemical pesticides.

  • Neem extract

Natural compounds in neem can disrupt the feeding and growth of pests such as aphids, thrips and caterpillars.

  • Jeevamrut

Made from cow dung, cow urine, jaggery, pulse flour and a little soil. Used mainly to support soil life; its pest-repelling effect is not proven.

  • Dashparni Arka

A fermented mix of leaves such as neem, castor and calotropis, used by some natural farmers against chewing and sucking pests.

  • Agniastra / Brahmastra

Traditional mixes of cow urine, neem leaves, garlic and hot chillies. Results vary with the recipe, so use them with care.

Natural does not always mean safe. Tobacco-based mixes can be toxic, so prepare and handle every formulation carefully.

Our message to farmers
  • Explore locally available natural pest-management options.
  • Protect beneficial insects and encourage biodiversity.
  • Identify the pest correctly before choosing a treatment.
  • Use proven, crop-appropriate methods and follow safe handling practices.
  • Combine prevention, field monitoring and suitable biological controls to cut unnecessary pesticide use.
Seeds and kitchen garden kits02

Supporting women farmers

Empowering women farmers is essential for healthier families, stronger communities and a sustainable future. We distribute organic seeds and kitchen garden seed kits to women farmers, so they can grow their own vegetables and bring fresh, homegrown produce to their families.

Our mission
  • Encourage women to cultivate their own kitchen gardens.
  • Improve household food diversity with fresh, homegrown vegetables.
  • Promote small-scale cultivation and practical farming skills.
  • Encourage sustainable practices and a closer connection with nature.
  • Inspire women to become confident, self-reliant contributors to their families and communities.
  • Women farmers and villagers gathered at an awareness meeting
  • Foundation members holding a banner for the kitchen garden seed kit programme
  • Kitchen garden seed kit boxes being handed over to a woman farmer
  • Women farmers holding seed packets at the International Year of Women Farmer 2026 event

Even a small kitchen garden can make a meaningful difference. A handful of seeds, nurtured with care, can grow into nutritious food, valuable knowledge and new opportunities.

Our vision is simple: empower women, nourish families, and grow a greener tomorrow.

Together, let us turn every seed into an opportunity and every kitchen garden into a symbol of self-reliance.

  • A dense mixed-seed green cover growing on the farm
  • Foundation members and farm helpers standing in a green cover crop
  • A farmer working on the ground among banana trees
  • Three men looking at a mixed green manure crop in the field
Healthy soil today, sustainable farming tomorrow03

Promoting PMDS seeds and green manure

Protecting our soil is one of the most important steps towards protecting our farmers, our food and our future. We encourage farmers to explore Pre-Monsoon Dry Sowing (PMDS) and green manure as part of our work to promote natural farming and sustainable agriculture.

PMDS: Pre-Monsoon Dry Sowing

A natural farming approach where a diverse mixture of seeds is sown directly into dry soil before the monsoon begins. With suitable seed selection and good management, it can help establish plant cover and support a healthier soil ecosystem.

  • Helps increase soil organic matter
  • Supports earthworms and beneficial soil microorganisms
  • Encourages soil cover and healthier soil conditions
  • Opens the door to more sustainable farming practices
Green manure: nature’s gift to the soil

Suitable plants are grown and then worked into the soil to improve its organic matter and fertility. Instead of letting valuable plant biomass go to waste, farmers can use it to nourish the land.

  • Adds organic matter to the soil
  • Supports soil fertility and biological activity
  • Helps improve soil structure and moisture retention
  • Encourages a healthier, more sustainable farming ecosystem
Our commitment to farmers

Through awareness initiatives, seed promotion and knowledge-sharing, we encourage farmers to explore nature-friendly practices that suit their local soil, climate and crops.

“Farming is not just about growing a crop for the next harvest; it is about nurturing the land so that future generations can continue to grow and prosper.”

Smart farming today for a better tomorrow04

Bringing drone technology closer to farmers

Empowering farmers with modern technology is an important step towards sustainable agriculture, better productivity and a brighter future for farming communities. We organize demonstrations and training sessions on agricultural drones, so farmers can see how this technology could work in their own fields.

How are drones used in agriculture?
  • Spraying fertilizers and crop protection

Drones can spray suitable fertilizers and approved crop protection products, covering fields efficiently when used correctly.

  • Monitoring crop health

Cameras and sensors help spot crop stress, uneven growth and areas that need a closer look.

  • Precision farming

Drone mapping shows variation across a field, so farmers can make better-informed decisions on crop management and inputs.

  • Irrigation and water stress

Aerial images can reveal uneven growth and possible irrigation problems that need a field check.

  • Pest and disease hotspots

Surveying large fields helps spot unusual crop patterns, so farmers can inspect affected areas and act in time.

  • Saving time and effort

For suitable operations, drones cover large areas faster and reduce the need to carry heavy spraying equipment.

  • Farmers and officials gathered around an agricultural drone during a demonstration
  • A trainer explaining an agricultural drone to a group of farmers and visitors
  • Telugu newspaper report on the district agriculture officer’s visit to the natural farming field
  • Three men standing beside an agricultural drone at the farm
Our commitment to farmers

Through practical demonstrations and awareness programs, we encourage farmers to learn about agricultural drone technology, understand its benefits and limitations, and explore how it can be adapted to their local farming needs.

“Combining farmers’ traditional knowledge with modern technology can help build a more productive, efficient and sustainable agricultural future.”

Small seeds today, a greener tomorrow05

Planting trees for a greener tomorrow

Planting a tree is not just an act of nature conservation; it is an investment in the future of our children and the generations to come. Every year, we organize planting programs in and around our city.

  • Fruit-bearing trees

Planted every year in and around our city.

  • Palmyra seeds

Sown to help increase the green cover.

  • Environmental awareness

Every program encourages people to protect nature and build a healthier environment.

The real heroes behind this initiative: our cricket friends

The credit for these initiatives goes to our cricket friends, who always come forward to support the foundation. Beyond the cricket ground, they join hands to plant trees, sow seeds and make our nearby areas greener. Whenever someone needs blood, they also come forward to donate it and help save lives.

  • Planting a seed
  • Protecting nature
  • Donating blood to save a life

Let’s plant more trees. Let’s save more lives. Let’s build a better tomorrow.

Growing green. Saving lives. Serving society.

Every seed distributed, every farmer who learns something new, and every tree planted is a small step towards the future we want to create.

Why weekend farming means so much to me

Weekend farming gives me an opportunity to slow down, connect with the earth, understand the value of food, and appreciate the hard work behind every meal on our plates. It has taught me:

Patience

Nature cannot be rushed.

Humility

No matter how much we know, there is always something more to learn.

Responsibility

The choices we make today can influence the soil, the environment, and the generations that follow.

Most importantly, it has taught me that we do not need to be born into a farming family to respect agriculture, support farmers, or contribute to a greener future. Sometimes, all it takes is a small beginning, a willingness to learn, and a heart that wants to make a difference.

A message to the younger generation

Farming is not something we should remember only when food reaches our plates. Behind every grain, every fruit, and every vegetable lies the effort of a farmer and the generosity of nature.

Take an interest in agriculture. Grow a few vegetables at home. Plant a fruit tree. Visit a farm. Learn from a farmer. Explore modern agricultural technology. Understand the importance of healthy soil and responsible farming.

You don’t need 2.5 acres to begin. Even a small kitchen garden or one plant on your balcony can help you understand the joy of nurturing life. And if you have an opportunity to support farmers, please do so. Their progress is connected to our food security, our communities, and our future.

Let us respect the hands that feed us.

Let us protect the soil that sustains us.

Let us encourage the people who cultivate our future.

My dream is to see more young people take an interest in agriculture, more farmers explore sustainable practices, more women become empowered through farming, and more communities come together to protect our environment.

I started weekend farming for my health. I continued it for the love of nature. Today, I want this journey to become a source of knowledge, encouragement, and opportunity for our farmers and our community.

This is more than a hobby. It is a responsibility, a learning journey, and a small contribution towards the future I believe in.

My farm is where I grow food, but my dream is to grow awareness, empower farmers, nurture nature, and inspire change.

With love for nature and gratitude to our farmers,

Chaitanya Polavarapu
